Culture X AI 2024–2025: Culture and Future Mode, hosted by AiDLab—a joint research platform by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and the Royal College of Art (RCA)—showcases Hong Kong’s leading culture, design, and innovation. The event explores how AI and cultural insights merge to push creative and technological boundaries, featuring collaborative works with renowned artist Dr. Kan Tai-keung.
Digitally reinterpreting traditional Chinese calligraphy of event lead Dr. Kan, the event identity seamlessly transitions to reflect the themes of 文化 (Culture) and 未來 (Future). By digitally integrating fashion and technology, the design continuously evolves, incorporating stroke elements such as wires and threads, merging advanced materials with fashion. This fusion bridges cultural heritage with innovation, emphasizing AI’s growing influence on fashion and the dynamic shifts driven by cross-cultural interactions. Blending refined Chinese aesthetics with a global perspective, the identity resonates with both Asian and international audiences, reflecting the event’s presence in the East and the West.
To reinforce the concept of pushing cultural boundaries, a dynamic and adaptable framed title lock-up has been created. Serving as both the event title and a flexible graphic device, it seamlessly adjusts to various layout sizes and ratios. This flexibility not only symbolizes the boundary-pushing nature of the event but also ensures that the title is presented prominently and effectively across all formats.
